Venue Sales Associate OPPORTUNITY

The Penthouse Hyde Park is searching for a Venue Sales Associate for a recently inaugurated event space in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. The Penthouse opened in June 2021 to wide acclamation and has been identified by Crain’s Chicago as one of the top venues in the city. The Penthouse features a 3,000 sq. ft. grand ballroom with 25-foot ceilings and 180-degree views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline. No expense was spared in the development of the venue which includes a 2,500 sq. ft. rooftop terrace, catering kitchen, VIP suite with kitchen and full bath and endless gorgeous design details. https://www.penthousehydepark.com/

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will report directly to the Penthouse’s Director of Venue Sales. Day-to-day tasks include responding to inquiries from prospective clients in a timely and efficient manner, leading prospects through tours of the Penthouse space, working with clients to customize a package of services unique to their event, and following up on a regular basis up to the day of the event. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor leads generated through various marketing channels and managed through Tripleseat, the Penthouse’s CRM.

  • Respond to all leads / inquiries in the shortest time possible and always within 24 hours.

  • Communicate to clients the Penthouse pricing structure and available services and work with

    them to develop a scope of services to fit their unique needs.

  • Encourage prospective clients to visit the space and demonstrate an intimate knowledge of the

    space during tours.

  • Familiarize clients with the Penthouse venue rental agreement and finalize the agreement

    through a signed contract.

  • Be available to answer client questions up to the day of the event.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Sales oriented with at least two years of experience in a relevant sales position

  • Charisma and enthusiasm along with a strong work ethic are a must

  • Wedding venue sales experience preferred

  • Tripleseat experience strongly preferred

  • The successful candidate must be comfortable reaching out to prospects on a pro-active basis

  • Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate client availability

    This position offers a base salary plus commission and a comprehensive benefits package.
