Your role in helping us shape the future:

US News empowers parents with the information they need to make education decisions for their families. As Director of Education Sales, you will build and be responsible for managing and directing a team of sales and service professionals across the United States to achieve business, sales, renewal, and profit goals.

Equipped with our top-notch Private Schools platform, our sales team relishes the opportunity to help clients and consumers connect through the power of our content and technology. Sales Directors are US News & World Reports' engines of market expansion and revenue growth. Focused on our customers' long term goals, they become trusted allies and strategic partners to customers.

Sales Directors leverage their ability to understand true pain points and customer needs, to guide Heads of Schools and Enrollment Professionals through US News' tools to achieve results.

Entrepreneurial and highly creative, the Sales Director will interface with high level members of the education industry and must conduct themselves with top notch intellectual aptitude. We are looking for a leader who is able to grow, support, and challenge the status quo. Are you up to the challenge?


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a nationwide strategy and direct a team of sales and sales service professionals in multiple regions to achieve business, sales, renewal and profit goals.

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and personal book of business.

  • Manage and achieve revenue and retention associated goals.

  • Create and execute growth and retention strategy nationwide.

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the Education Market.

  • Provide monthly forecasting and accurately predict sales revenue.

  • Create a culture of inclusion that drives collaboration.

  • Emphasize a clients-first mentality within the organization.

  • Hire, coach, develop, and mentor an entrepreneurial and engaged team.

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to help build custom packages and solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Working with cross functional teams to build marketing and communication strategies.



Requirements

You should definitely have:

  • 7-10 years of experience in selling digital solutions.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

  • Experience using a CRM.

  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate a team

  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to nurture and develop talent.

  • Proven experience with full customer lifecycle.

  • Ability to write a business plan.

  • Clients-first mindset.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strategic thinking ability.


It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience working with private educational institutions.

  • Experience working at a start-up.

  • Experience developing and instituting a subscription sales lifecycle.
